The Kantanti Ensemble could not exist without a great deal of time and talent donated for free, alongside the generosity of our first patrons, Mike and Monika Lavelle. The majority of our income is dependent on the unpredictable realm of ticket sales, and performers generally have to commit to our concerts without any guarantee that they will receive a fee afterwards! Under these circumstances, it is a real challenge to maintain the high standards of the Kantanti Ensemble and continue to bring in first-rate soloists.
If you would like to help secure the future of the Kantanti Ensemble by becoming a patron, we can tailor a package to suit you. No level of support is too small! There are a number of different routes that may particularly appeal to you:
Supporting Soloists
We aim to bring top-rate emerging stars to the Ensemble for concertos and solo performances. With greater financial pulling power, we would be able to reach a greater number of rising young performers.
Supporting Principal Players
Have you a love for a particular instrument? With the guarantee of a basic fee, we can ensure fantastic young professionals form part of the ensemble for years to come. We currently have a handful of principal players who form the core of the group:
· Leader: Beatrice Philips & Co-Leader: Magdalena Petchey
· Principal Flute: Jemma Bogan
· Principal Horn: Joseph Ryan
· Principal Keyboards: Claire Stevens
· Principal Timpani & Percussion: Fred Beer
Supporting Running Costs
Our aim is always to keep running costs as close to zero as possible. However there are expenses that are unavoidable, including venue hire, printing of publicity materials and programmes, and performance rights for music. If you would like your support to go to one of these areas, then it could mean more stability for the group in performance venues, a greater marketing reach, or the viability of a greater range of repertoire.
General Support
We also welcome patronage of a more general nature. All donations, however small, will be of great help to the ongoing life of the Kantanti Ensemble.
If any of these options strike a chord with you (no pun intended!), then please email us at friends@kantanti.com - we would be delighted to hear from you.
All of our patrons receive due recognition in our programmes and marketing materials. Other benefits can include complimentary tickets to concerts and the opportunity to meet the musicians at a reception or rehearsal.
